First thing I did, d. That’s when I confirmed there was a problem.
But I did figure it out. With zero, no, bupka, zilch, zippo, squat, nada customer service (huh?) help from EBAY.
I spent an hour being shuttled in a nauseating loop through eBay customer service mannequins pleading for a human, masocistically tantalized with the prospect of a human, and then led into the same dank place I was at not so long ago. [RANT].
Turned out my wife was using another credit card, which somehow was linked to my ebay account but the activity of which didn’t show up on my purchase history. When I finally found my way into her ebay account purchase history, there was the purchased item and $ amount that matched with the credit card charge. And yes, long ago (far away in another galaxy) when I did inquire with her about the charge by EBAY on the credit card she answered … dunno.
what I learned — EBAY human customer service is locked behind a door in the middle of a maze surround my fetid, expired corpses that perished hopelessly trying stumbling in the dark trying to find a way in.
Even if you had contacted Ebay, they could only tell you about YOUR Ebay account, not your wife's, nor could they have access to your credit card charges.
