unrecognized charge on my Bank Statement from eBay
I have a charge on my bank statement from eBay that is not in my purchase history, so I do not know what it was for.

Is it possible you made a purchase using another eBay account? Or that you made an offer or placed a bid that required a payment method in advance, and you are seeing a temporary payment hold on the total amount?
If you are certain you did not do anything that would result it such a charge, contact you card issuer for details of the transaction or to dispute the transaction and get a new card number issued.
eBay can only help if the charge is connected to your own eBay account, not if someone else used your card number with a different eBay account.
