unpaid items listed on consignment with a ebay seller

Question

I listed cards with an ebay seller on consignment. Items sold but I was never paid. Seller keeps putting me off that they are looking into it. Been 5 months and still not resolved. One card sold for over $2,000.

What are my options to resolve this issue.

If you had someone else sell the card for you they would be the ones to pay you, eBay has no part of the contract between you and the seller. If the seller is not paying you then you need to pursue a legal remedy to get your money.

I don't know what state you live in, but I believe that -- in many states -- the maximum dollar amount for a Small Claims Court action is $5,000.

Your best option may be to file a Small Claims Court action against that seller.

I hope you have some sort of consignment agreement -- a document -- that should spell out the terms and conditions.
