Unpaid items / buyers not paying
Over the past 6 months I've seen a huge uptick in buyers not paying for auctions they've won. And recently I've had to cancel/relist and report non-payment for 11 different items.
I've been on eBay for over 20 years and have never had this many non-payments, and definitely not this many in a short amount of time.
This is super inconvenient. Wastes time and money. I pay to promote my items and eBay does not credit promotion fees back when items are cancelled for non-payment.
What is eBay doing to try and minimize this? Better vetting users/buyers? I think eBay should charge buyers penalties for non payment, minimum charge them enough to refund my promotion fees to try and deter this. That's probably not going to happen. I primarily sell sports cards, I'm considering looking at other options to sell - like PWCC marketplace or similar.
Interested to hear other seller's thoughts and experiences. This is so frustrating.
