Unpaid cancellation
Ive just had an unpaid cancellation on my account and now unable to bid on anything . I have tried to contact an agent through the automated chat but nothing . Anyone knows what i can do now .

·2 years agoIt takes at least 2 unpaid cancellations in the past 12 months to trigger the optional seller block for serial non-payers. It depends on the seller you are trying to buy from. Some don't enable that Buyer Requirement (block) at all. Some enable it but at more lenient parameters than the strictest level of blocking anyone with 2 in the past 12 months (some leave it at the defaults which are the lowest number for each parameter--2 strikes in the past 1 month--some long-time sellers haven't updated it from the old maximum timeframe of 6 months, and some for whatever reason choose to give more than second chances--the choices go up to 100 strikes in the lookback period).
So for the strictest level you will no longer be blocked by any seller (for that reason anyway) 12 months (and 1 day) after your second to last strike was issued (I know eBay no longer uses that term but it's a lot easier to type and comprehend than what the PR types decided eBay would call it). For those who don't have it set you can buy right now (assuming no other issues, such as running into your buying limits or another Buyer Requirement by that seller). For any other combination of x strikes in y months they will not apply to you when your xth to last strike is older than y months.
If instead you are running into a general buying limit set by eBay instead of a seller's buyer block (what exactly does the error message say?), you need to reduce your attempted buying to fall into the limits: in particular do not be bidding on multiple auctions at the same time: make a list of when the auctions end and bid on each just before the end (several other good reasons to do that anyway) and then pay if you win before you go to the next so it doesn't count as an "open" or unpaid transaction.

It takes TWO nonpayment strikes within a 12-month period to be restricted from bidding … and each strike takes 12 months to age off.
You’ll be able to bid freely as soon as you have only one strike left on your account. You should still be able to use the Buy It Now option in the meantime. Also, not all sellers block buyers with nonpayment strikes … but it will be trial and error finding those sellers.
