unknown ebay charges on credit card
Over 2 months I had three charges for about $1,000 each via ebay on credit card statement. How do I research these charges?

You don't need to research anything if you know you didn't make the charges. Contact your credit card company immediately. They will issue you a new credit card number and will stop purchases from being made on the compromised card.
Understand that this has nothing to do with eBay. Someone got a hold of your credit card information and just happens to be making the purchases on eBay. They could have just as easily made the purchases elsewhere.
