Unfair Feedback
If a buyer gives you unfair feedback, will Ebay take it off?
I sold some Pleasant Company (which is American Girls) books, and the buyer claims they are not American Girl doll books, because she didn't know Pleasant Company is the name of the American Girl company. All the pictures show that the books were indeed American Girl. Will Ebay remove negative feedback in this closed and shut situation?

A quick glance at the feedback Buyers have left for you in the past six months, doesn't show any negatives or neutrals or even a positive with a negative comment. In general, eBay very rarely removes positive feedback. And in general, any feedback under consideration for removal would need to have been left 60 days ago or less.
When was the unfair feedback left?

OP1 year agoThank you! Sorry, the negative feedback hasn't been left yet, but I'm worried that it will be left soon, by a buyer who accused me -- incorrectly -- of misrepresenting an item. I was just wondering if Ebay would, in the case of a provable error on the side of the buyer, take my side.

In general, it depends on what the Buyer says in a negative feedback if it will be considered for removal. If she says, for example, that she received Pleasant Company books instead of American Girl books, eBay will look at the listing to see both companies are mentioned. The newest eBay feedback removal policy states that eBay will consider removing feedback where the Buyer mentions something that was correctly described in the listing. There are no guarantees eBay will remove it, but should this Buyer leave negative feedback, go to your Seller Hub and located the Feedback Removal request form. Keep it short and to the point. You could say, Buyer left negative feedback for something correctly described in the listing.
Best of luck to you!
