Hey fellow community members,
I recently encountered a challenging situation where the post office modified my shipping label from $20 to $132 without my knowledge. This unexpected change turned my eBay account negative, severely impacting my ability to conduct further sales. Now, I'm unable to purchase new labels and constantly receive delinquency emails, all due to a mistake I believe was not mine.
How do you handle situations where errors made by third parties, like the post office, significantly affect your business or personal finances? Have you ever experienced something similar, and what steps did you take to resolve the issue? I'm eager to hear your thoughts and any advice on navigating these kinds of difficulties. Thank you!

Mentor1 week ago · EditedI don't see that you sold an antique horse collar on Ebay and that item # you posted is not an Ebay item.
You should never estimate the shipping cost.
Always weigh & measure the prepackaged item and enter the precise weight to nearest ounce (rounding up) and the exact dimensions (length, width, and height)and enter those figures into the shipping calculator.

Mentor1 week agoEbay will not issue a refund for the unexpected extra shipping charges from the post office.
You never answered the question I asked as to why I do not see the item in your Ebay selling history or anywhere else on Ebay.

Mentor1 week ago@jessem75 Here's how to file a dispute with USPS>
To check on shipping labels, go here: https://www.ebay.com/ship/lmng
Some of your shipping labels have cost adjustments.
If you think these adjustments are incorrect, you can contact USPS Customer Care at 1-844-819-5187 or verifypostagehelp@usps.gov to open a dispute. Make sure you have the IMPB and Revenue Assurance ID below to identify the adjustment. USPS will respond within 5-15 business days.

Mentor1 week agoThe reason why the item cannot be brought up is that it has been more than 90 days.
I highly doubt that you can dispute the charge with USPS after so much time has gone by.
It definitely was not "recently".

Mentor1 week ago · EditedI was trying to find the item you sold but only found a book that was sold in July, nothing more recent.
What was the item you are referring to and what were the package dimensions/weight? You may have underestimated the shipping costs due if the package was oversized , incurring charges for volume weight which caused the increase in shipping cost.
