Undisclosed changes affecting payout + item details likely to cause accounting nightmares and audits
to ALL SELLERS..
Be aware eBay has decided without any early notifications to:
Redefine "Available funds" which meant THE Funds made available by the customers actual purchase FUNDS they are HOLDING until the release them to the seler........
TO: something that ALLOW themselves to Deduct from TODAYS SALES that have pending funds for payout (((which is their convenient new abuse of "available funds")))... and benefit by CHARGING THOSE SAME CHARGES from prior sales payouts that might be incoming today. Causing shipping charges from newer sales to be DEDUCTED from payouts of Earlier sales.
The details pages of the newer sales DO NOT REFLECT those charges as paid by an earlier transaction and from an earlier transaction payout, THEY IN FACT still appear IN THE DETAILS SECTION as deducted from the new sales as well.
The details page reflects what the last 28 years has been ( clear, concise, and accurate )
THIS IS NO LONGER THE CASE - get ready for an accounting and auditing nightmare should you seek to compare actual billed , nets, and payouts in any logical fashion
ITS an accounting nightmare likely to initiate internal audits, and possible externals as well, as though they allege the numbers all workout in the end categorically - THE DETAILS DO NOT MATCH THE ACTUALS
and GOOD LUCK trying to record or remember what portions, and amopunts came from where are it relates to payout distributions later
Their best recommend is DO NOT USE AVAILABLE FUNDS, but rather charge labels by a separate means
That also adds to paperwork, chain accounting and more expense to business sellers as well
Are we being nudges away from their fund management? into PP or some other payment system provider??
unlikely, but likely a better option
COMMENT if you agree the details and related shipment charges should remain as they have always been.
They should reflect and include the EXACT AND CORRECT deductions and payouts on the ITEM DETAILS PAGE
and the numbers posted SHOULD DIRECTLY REFLECT THE ACTUAL PAYOUTS being made
**** At the present time, this is no longer the case ****
ask your accountant to review the new separate billing they have implemented as ab expense on their own ledger which will now be deducted in real time from the payouts of OTHER TRANSACTIONS with no updates made to the details of the particular items with CLEAR "follow the money" adjusted line items referring MONIES FOR (shipping)
FROM ( newer and other item sold )
DEDUCTED FROM ( Payouts of older item(s) sold)
shipping or additional charges at their will it seems NEED NO longer reflect and accurately reflect actual nets on any individual page - seems we have to trust and somehow keep note of what monies were taken immediately from here
REVIEW ALL YOUR INVOICES< STATEMENTS, AND PAYOUT CAREFULLY
even if "THE NUMBERS" as they coined it work out categorically in the end...
I suspect they want to invest those amounts now for their own benefit rather than having to be held to standards that they always have up until this month
available funds should be as they always were....
FROM THE Customer payment
in the event of any reversals, they have our billing info
I should note" THERE WERE no reversals or special circumstance
I NOTICED, I CALLED , THEY STUMBLED
