This situation prompts a discussion about how shipping charges are managed: whether they are applied at the time of sale or when the shipping label is printed. jaxt-1099 seeks input on others' experiences and solutions regarding shipping charges and refunds in online sales.
I've encountered an interesting situation with a shipper who sent multiple auction items in a single package and claims that refunds for the additional shipping charges will be applied automatically. This has led me to wonder how exactly shipping charges are managed in online sales. Specifically, do shipping charges get applied at the time of sale, or only when the shipper prints the label? How have your experiences been with similar situations? Have you faced challenges or found solutions when dealing with shipping charges and refunds? I'm keen to hear your thoughts and experiences on this topic!

Mentor3 weeks agoBuyers pay item price + shipping + sales tax. ebay sends the item price + shipping to the seller. When the seller prints the shipping label using ebay shipping, s/he can specify that the charge will come from the pending payout or from his/her Paypal account. If the buyer made multiple purchases and the seller combines them into one package, s/he can send the difference as a partial refund to the buyer.
