Underpaid by Ebay on a Sale?
I made a sale for $30 with $14 shipping paid by buyer. I got paid $20 by eBay.
I have problem calculating the cost as I thought a total sale of $44 minus 12.5% minus tax 8% should yield around $36.
Could any of you gurus help explain if this is fair pay or underpay by eBay?
Thanks in advance!

Mentor3 years agoYou have to pay for the actual shipping label - the buyer paid you, you buy the label. How much did the label cost?
Go to your selling account and click on the payment, then click on the order #. You can see all of the fees and shipping costs. https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin

OP3 years agoYou are right! The shipping label costed me $7.52. So I should still get around $30, right?

Mentor3 years agoYes, if the label was $7.52, you should clear $29.94 on that sale.
If the payout is around $20, then probably the next shipping label is being deducted. The shipping costs are not matched order by order on the payout - the label comes out of available funds.
Again looking at your payment account, you should be able to see what is being deducted from the payout. Click on the payout to see the payment and all deductions.

OP3 years agoThat's it - the next shipping label is being deducted.
