Under performance penalties
Hello. I've been on ebay for nearly 20 years. I buy and sell from time to time. Sometimes I list several things, other times not so much.
It appears to me that I am being penalized for not selling enough. An example is that ebay shows me sales from the holiday season 2 years ago (2020) compared to the just passed season (2022).
I didn't post as much in the last few months ( my dad was in hospice and recently passed). There were also a couple of items that were cancelled ( I was simply overwhelmed by life events ).
Is there anyway to not be judged as a store front (if I indeed am) and held to standards of a store front instead of a part time seller?

The only thing that not posting a lot would affect is your Top Rated seller status:
If you are not selling enough then you would just be above standard which is fine for selling and does not have penalties.
If you had sales where you canceled as out of stock OR eBay had to step in on and force a refund then you get a DEFECT, those defects hurt your account standards and move you to Below Standard then you are charged an extra 6% in fees.
This has nothing do with how frequent you sell but how you handle problems when they arise.
