Undeliverable item
I had a buyer pay for and i shipped the purchased item. The USPS was not able to deliver the item, there was no one able to sign for it, there was no forwarding address. The item was returned to me. I have attempted to contact the buyer and i am not receiving a response. What now? Can I relist the item without consequence (refund at some future date), how long do i have to wait, how many attempts to need to make to contact the buyer? Never had this happen before - thanks in advance.

Mentor3 years agoYou can charge the buyer to resend the item, refund minus your original shipping charge, or cancel the transaction for an address problem, which which will refund in full. Give the buyer a few days, then relist it.

OP3 years agoI am not getting any response - like the buyer is no longer active on eBay and moved with no forwarding address.

·3 years agoDid the item require signature and there was no one to sign? Or is there no one at the address? Why couldn't the postal carrier drop the item at the address.

OP3 years agoThe item requires a signature because of the value. I do not know why there is no one to sign for it or if there is a forwarding address, all I know is what is on the return to sender label
