Unbranded items/merchandise
What is the purpose/intent of an item for sale that is marked unbranded as manufacturer label or logo, does this indicate the buyer can label item?

No. It is just some item that is not labeled with a brand name. When you are shopping at a store, you likely see all kinds of things like that. The seller should be showing you pictures of what they are selling too, that should show you no brand name is on the product. The purpose of saying that it is unbranded is in order to make sure they are giving all the information they can about the product. The seller is just being honest.
