unauthorized tranaction

Question

I contacted a seller and asked "if the product he was advertising could be shipped overnight" he never answered and a week later I received the item and never authorized it. He won't respond to my request to return. I contacted paypal and they sided with him even though it was indicated in the email to him that there was no response. I can't reach Paypal or ebay on the phone, What should I do?

I was glad to give it to her, but, as usual, she waited until the last minute to ask. I sent it by overnight mail. Holy mackerel, just an envelope containing a cashier's check was over $25 to send. That would be almost $40 today, allowing for inflation. Heaven only knows what it would cost to send something heavier than a slip of paper. Well, I guess Heaven and the Post Office both know what it would cost. BTW, she paid me back.

The only way for the seller to ship is to get paid, and when s/he is paid, s/he receives your SHIP TO address, so it appears you did authorize the purchase. Not all sellers can ship overnight. In fact, I believe most carriers give 2 days for an express delivery. If that is important, it should be asked before making a purchase, not afterwards.

Go to My ebay > Purchase History

Locate the item. Click on RETURN THIS ITEM because it is Not as Described. Not sure if there is an option to select that the item arrived too late. You will need to click on More to see that option. The seller will need to provide a prepaid shipping label for its return. Print out the label, affix it to the box, and have the counter clerk scan the label. When tracking shows DELIVERED back to the seller, the seller needs to refund you within 2 days. If no refund, go back to the case and click on Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.
