unauthorized purchase
I was informed that i was a winning bidder on $1,600 item. I did not make the purchase, nor was i even watching the item, nor was my device even active. i have contacted the seller requesting a cancellation, but that makes it appear that it is my fault. i changed passwords, what else can i do ?

Mentor1 year agoFirst thing to do is to check your purchase history to see if the item is listed. If so, then someone used your account to bid on the item. If this is the case then you are responsible for paying for the item or receiving an Unpaid Item Strike if the seller will not cancel the purchase. Sellers are not required to cancel purchases. You can try contacting customer service to report a hacked account and see what they can do for you.
If the item is not listed on your purchase history then you did not purchase the item and there is little the seller can do to you.
