Unapproved purchase
I was shopping on ebay for a television. I found two I was interested in. I made offers on both of them with some questions to the sellers.
One of the sellers declined my offer And the other seller accepted an offer. I purchased the one that accepted the offer.
And thought that was
It.
Later I was notified That the TV from the seller that didn't Accept my offer was
Purchased Because I did not respond to their message. So they charged my Credit card without my approval.
I contacted the seller and they told me that ebay is responsible for taking Payments and would not wave the return shipping cost.
I'm not sure how to contact a person at ebay, so if someone can enlighten me on a path to a resolution.

Mentor2 years agoMaking an offer is intent to purchase. You should never make multiple offers on the same item, because you could end up purchasing both. You can request a cancellation from one seller, but they are not obligated to do so.
