Unanswered Question on Listing
I have seen the community posts about how to remove the "Unanswered messages" tag, but I cannot get a clear answer on where to clear this.
In my active listings I have 1 with "Unanswered messages". I don't see anywhere on the Active page to clear the message. If i click the dropdown on the "Sell similar" button and click "View message history", it takes me to my messages inbox. The "unanswered message" is no where to be found in the inbox.
On this particular listing, I received message from a bot claiming to be ebay and wanting me to copy and paste a link into my browser (which I DID NOT do). I reported the message to ebay and deleted the message. I believe that the listing is still seeing the "Unanswered message" because I didn't respond to the bot.
Even though the message is deleted, and now archived, it's still showing the "Unanswered message" tag. How can this be resolved?

Chances are the message that was removed is why you still see the Unanswered question notice. Do not worry about it, since it will not affect your account. There is no way to get it removed now. As a new seller you may get requests like the one you received and to avoid the Unanswered notice, reply to it by writing something like "I will not violate ebay policies for you".
FYI, As a new seller your payments will be placed on hold, until you prove to be a reliable seller. On your sold items page the payment status will show Pending or Processing, but the funds are there. If you were charging a shipping cost for the ebay envelopes shipping you could buy postage from ebay using the amount you specify on the listing page from the Held funds. However, since you are offering Free Shipping, you will have to purchase the postage out of pocket.

One thing you need to understand is there is no such thing as Free Shipping, somebody pays for it because the cost is already built into the item price or because the seller knows the item will sell with enough profit to make free shipping a viable option.
You have a bunch of item listed for under $2 and after ebay's fees and the cost of using ebay standard envelpe .74¢ up to 1oz. $1.03 for 2oz. and $1.32 for 3 oz. you will only be making pennies on those sales.
