Unable to setup PayPal as a payment option
Keep getting errors saying to try back later, like it's an issue with PayPal. I'd removed PayPal from the (Auctions and Offers) section, so I could use the Pay in 4, but now it won't let me add or use PayPal at all. Anyone else having issues like this?

OP1 year agoNo it's a loop hole you have to go through in order to use Pay in 4. After you've set PayPal up to bid or Buy It Now, if you want to use the Pay in 4 option you have to go into your Acct Settings - Payments - Delete PayPal as your (Auction and Offers) then go to Check Out and select PayPal so it'll take you to their page in order to check out.
Doesn't matter what the buyer has setup, however if they accept your offer then it automatically pays with whatever payment you have setup; it only works on offers if the seller send you the offer or sends you a counter offer for you to accept, and any auctions you win you can use this method.
I've been having to do it for years I think ever since eBay sold or quit using PayPal as their primary payment system.
But no worries I guess maybe it was just an issue with PayPal because it's allowed me to set it back up now.

Mentor1 year agoGenerally it is not necessary to add PayPal directly to your eBay payments page.
At checkout, if PayPal is an available option, choose PayPal to complete the checkout.
PayPal's Pay-in-4 option may not be available for auctions or offers if the seller requires a payment method in advance. In that case you may need to supply a payment method such as a credit or debit card that can handle a reversible payment hold.
