unable to resolve a dispute with a seller
sellers' picture did not match the description of product and would not take back product. Ebay did not make any difference in trying to make me whole in this large purchase. I was a member since 2009 and don't feel secured here in knowing this. tried several times with costumer service they all seen the cause of this issue and agreed with the picture not matching the product so it's time to move on. A word to the wise don't buy anything based on a picture. The seller website still has this has this mismatch on their website

Mentor1 year agoExactly what steps did you take when you saw the photo was not the same as the actual item? Did you file an "Item not as described" case or just make phone calls? eBay has an automated process to handle "Not as described" cases and the proper steps must be followed within 30 days of receipt.

OP1 year agoyes I called costumer service and they said to text the seller in their portal only to get a refusal to take back items Ebay can see this interaction even his email he sent in this chat was non-working email. I just did not feel Ebay was on top of this case and now has left me feeling vulnerable in any more purchases. Where is Managment where is that personal reach out to me. Something that is there and can be seen as a misinformation of product, to bad I can't share the pictures here. pictures are what we see first anyway be careful on this Website. NO RESOLVE !!!!!

OP1 year agoas I stated this was a gift to my daughter and dropped items to a shop to have them mounted when I sent the girls out shopping that's when I knew this was not what I order because they would not fit. This is why the seller refused to take them back this was disgust in their chat room so Ebay seen this refusal but gave no input to me on what I should do. This was so obvious on how this mistake came about.

If you receive an item that does not match the description, file a "not as described" return within thirty days and return the item at the seller's expense. The process is automated; if the seller does not cooperate at any point, ask eBay to step in after three business days, for up to twenty-one business days to force a refund.

If you waited too long to file a case or to ask eBay to step in, you may still have recourse through your payment method, but you may have to pay for return shipping yourself. Many credit cards offer up to six months of protection for items that are not as described.

OP1 year agoYes I Did call capital one but said Ebay did nothing wrong and that my issue was with the seller so now reaching back out to Ebay I was told that there was nothing they could Do and to go to the seller who gave me an Bad email and no phone number Ebay is still allowing this seller to sell here and with the same problems we are not wealthy people and this was a Birthday gift for my Daughter. This large purchase has made me rethink who is protecting my purchases Ebay reps all seen this discrepancy and to Easly let this take place without some resolve no Email from Managment to hold on to their buyers.

Mentor1 year agoIf you started a case through your credit card issuer, eBay can no longer help you. You must pursue your refund through your credit card provider once you start one.
