Unable to open case – item not received after 6 months, seller kept delaying
Hello,
I am looking for guidance because I am currently unable to resolve a serious issue through the normal eBay process.
I purchased an item on July 14, 2025 (total $1,496.99), and as of today, I have still not received the item.
The seller has repeatedly:
* Claimed the item was shipped but never provided a valid tracking number
* Provided tracking that only shows “Shipping Label Created” with no carrier acceptance
* Promised updates, UPS contact, and even reshipment multiple times
* Continued delaying for over 6 months
At one point, after about two months, the seller claimed the item was re-shipped and sent me a screenshot as proof. However, based on the tracking information, it appears that only a shipping label was created and the package was never actually handed over to the carrier.
I have kept all message records and screenshots, and I am confident eBay can verify this communication history.
I also attempted to resolve this through my bank by filing a chargeback, but I was informed that it is no longer possible because more than 120 days have passed since the transaction.
However, I am now facing a major issue:
* I cannot open an “Item Not Received” case because the 90-day period has passed
* The item no longer appears when I try to report it
* I cannot find a way to contact eBay directly via email
* Phone support only leads to automated options with no way to submit my evidence
This situation appears to involve intentional delay tactics by the seller to push the case beyond the buyer protection window.
I would like to:
1. Submit all my screenshots and communication records
2. Request a manual review of this transaction
3. Understand how I can escalate this issue beyond the standard time limits
If anyone can advise on how to reach eBay support directly (email or escalation team), or how to proceed in this situation, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you very much.

Mentor5 months agoHi @croota.usa
I'm sorry, but you've waited far too long to get help. You have 30 days (not 90) from the estimated delivery date shown in your Purchase History to open a case for an item not received. It has been over 8 months.
If your credit card company can't help, I'm afraid this will have to be chalked up to a lesson learned.
Always observe the deadlines to get help if a seller fails to deliver. Don't let a bad seller string you along.
