Unable to leave a negative feedback
Buyer refused to pay claiming he didn’t see an issue that was clearly represented both in description and photos. I understand that he didn’t take the time to look closely and read the description. But that’s on him. I have paid for items that I wished I hadn’t bid on. Then I sent a message stating (nicely) that since he bid 5 times , it wasn’t an accidental bid and I wasn’t cancelling the order. After some harassing messages I decided to cancel and it said it was already cancelled. BY WHO! On top of that , the only option for feedback was if I marked it as positive. I’ve been selling on eBay for 15-20 years and have 100% feedback. No help from eBay after reporting buyer. And no options to contact a real person at eBay. Very frustrating for a man of principle. It’s not about the money. It’s like the buyers are more protected than the sellers

Mentor11 months agoBuyers cannot be given negative feedback, and leaving a positive rating with a negative comment is a policy violation subject to removal. That is not what feedback is for.
After four days you can cancel the transaction for nonpayment to give the buyer a strike and prevent feedback from being left. If you cancel earlier or for other reasons, the buyer will not get a strike.
Add the user to your Blocked Buyer List to prevent that particular user from bidding on or buying any more of your listings, regardless of what other sellers do.

Be sure to set your Buyer Requirements to preemptively block bids or purchases from users with two or more unpaid item strikes in the last year.
You can avoid unpaid items by listing your item for a fixed price with immediate payment required and by not accepting offers.
