Unable to get my payout and afraid of losing the money
Hi there!
I recently sold my first item on eBay, but now they're withholding my payout until I've completed filling out some information that they need. It pertains to my bank account/credit card. When asked whether I want the payout to go to my debit card or my bank account, I press the bank account since there is no 2 dollar fee. But when I have to fill out the form it is asking my for a routing number, which I do not have since I am based in Denmark. I went to check my personal information and for some odd reason it says I am based in the US. I did add an extra addres somewhat recently because my partner currently lives in the US, but I have had this account since 2008 and it never stated that my home/main address was in the US. How am I to proceed from here? It won't let me change my country/region since it is greyed out. I also cannot do anything about the routing number since it's simply something I do not have with a Danish-registered bank account/card.
It's an important amount of money for a student like me and something that would end up having some consequences if I cannot get a hold of them. eBay says, per mail, that I have until the 21st December to figure this out and it stresses me out.
