unable to contact seller or ebay--please help
I purchased a faulty headlight on ebay and can't reach the seller. I just need to know if the item is under warranty, since the return cut off date has passed. The headlight started to fog up a few months after I purchased it. When I type a message in the "contact seller" box, I get a message saying there's a problem with the system or to try again later. This happens repeatedly and has occurred for days. I tried contacting eBay but with the virtual help they offer, the response from their automated system doesn't line up with what I am asking. Has someone been able to reach eBay through a more direct manners? Any help is appreciated.

Buyers only have 30 days of eBay protection. Only items sold by authorized dealers will have a warranty. The warranty must be very clear, in the listing, of what it covers. It would not be uncommon for a perfectly valid warranty to be considered void if not installed by a warranty approved and qualified party.
Warranties are pretty flimsy, even in the real world. Online, even less.
