unable to contact ebay directly
purchased an item, got email receipt from ebay with tracking number. Tracking number does not work. How do you contact ebay directly?

No need to contact eBay.
There is an automated process in place.
The day after the last estimated delivery date, you will be able to open a case for ‘item not received’.
Up until then, you will have to wait.
eBay doesn’t have the up to date tracking information. Have you tried the tracking number on the carrier’s (USPS?) website?
