Unable To Bid
Hi, I have had my ebay account since 2016 however i have been unable to bid, error 3008 which suggests that the seller blocked me for some reason.
I have previously purchased one product on ebay.
I tried bidding from 2 new accounts but they were indefinitely suspended
Is there a way i can bid on this particular listing as it has an item which has a price which is lower than usual, the seller is verified with 116 products sold and its the only steam deck in my budget, id really appreciate if I was allowed to bid on it.

As mentioned earlier, it might work if the seller will add you to their exemption list. The item is listed as shipping available to India, so it's confusing as to why you can not place a bid:

OP2 years agoThank you, i have contacted the seller again via messaging, is there any other allowed way through which i may participate in the bidding process incase the seller doesn't reply?
I am very keen on purchasing the listing and i in no way intend to bother the seller or violate the terms of service

Have you contacted the seller at all? They might be willing to add you to their Exemption List. And, be sure to tell them that you will change the ship to address when you check out.

OP2 years agoYes i have contacted him, its been over 24 hours, is there any way i can create a new account for bidding without getting banned?
I have a valid us address, verified payment methods which work for international payments.

Unfortunately, there may not be anything you can do. Sellers who block you from purchasing can also have it set to block you from messaging them, so they’re likely not seeing your messages at all.
There could be a number of reasons why you’re blocked. Some possible reasons:
Open transaction limits (you’re currently bidding on or in auctions for x number of items)
Unpaid item strikes (you’ve had 2 or more unpaid items in the last 12 months).
Primary shipping address in a location the seller doesn’t ship to.
And several more, PLUS sellers can individually block users for any reason . . . or no reason at all.

Are you saying that a buyer can send a message to a seller (when blocked by the seller) and it appears to the buyer that the message was sent...but, the seller won't see it at all if the buyer has been blocked?
The buyer stated that they sent two messages to the seller. It seems odd if that's the way it works. The buyer should receive some sort of message to let them know that the message won't be received/read by the seller.

It might be that the seller will not ship to India (and that's why you're getting an Error 3008 message). Usually, if a seller has applied a block to a certain buyer, the buyer can see a message that they've been blocked from buying from that seller.

OP2 years agoI am using an American address my friend is visiting from the states.
My payment information is valid as well.
Is there anything that i can do, id really like to bid on this as its the only steam deck available in my price range?
