Unable to add tracking number
I need your help regarding my recent order. The item has already been shipped to the buyer and the tracking number is active and showing movement.
However, when I try to upload the tracking number, I receive an error saying:
“Tracking number is used by another seller.â€
The reason is that I fulfilled this order through an authorized third-party partner seller who shipped the product directly to my buyer on my behalf. The tracking number was already generated in their system, which is why eBay is not allowing me to attach it manually.
The package is in transit and expected to be delivered within 1–2 days. I am worried that without the tracking being added, my funds may stay on hold and the buyer may open a dispute even though the item is already shipped.
Kindly help me by:
Manually attaching this tracking number to my order, or
Marking the order as shipped with a note that it was fulfilled through a third-party partner.
I will provide any details you need (Order ID, Tracking Number, Courier Name).

Mentor8 months agoYou can go to your Seller Hub > Orders > Awaiting shipment
Locate the transaction, click the 3 dots, select Mark as shipped. Then select to CONTACT BUYER and send the buyer the tracking number.
If you are using the new messaging system, start typing where it says SEND MESSAGE. The area will enlarge as you type. When done typing, click on that "paper airplane" looking arrow on the right side to send the message.

OP8 months agoI provided the buyer that tracking number in the message section . But what about the tracking number that I have to add in my order fulfillment ? If i select the option mark as shipped , will the ebay accept it ?
