Unable to accept purchases as I’m attending family funeral.
Please note I have been out of state due to a family members sudden death. Will be back end of March.
I would appreciate some levity here. Also, it would be nice for eBay to have this common subject matter as a viable reason for delay input into their potential option’s for possible reason.

As a buyer, you should contact all of your sellers to let them know of your hiatus. I assume you have already been hit with "non-paying" buyer notices, and this could limit your buying activity for the next 12 months. The automated limit is 4 days before notices are sent.
If you have purchased items, but have not paid, you can ask the seller to allow a longer payment time or cancel the sale.
If you have already paid, a seller is penalized for not shipping on time, so if a seller agrees to hold, it is to the seller's detriment. If the seller has shipped, contact your post office and ask that they hold your deliveries, or ask a neighbor to collect packages.
