UK to US Global Shipping Program - Damage in transit
Purchased a DVD set, 2 DVD's are not playable due to damage during shipment, which means I need to purchase another box set to get what I want to watch.
Was shipped with the Global Shipping Program. Impossible to know when it was damaged.
I would like to return it to the UK and be refunded for the entire cost.
Seller does NOT want item back.
Seller is bothered and feels it is my issue to take up with my postal service in the US and is only offering a partial refund.
Seller says package was insured on their end in the UK.
The seller feels he will be out money if accepting the return, and I am definitely out money having to accept a damaged item and having to repurchase again.
I asked the seller to pack well, as the postal service is hard on packages and the seller packed in a bubble envelope. Item would have been better in a small box for international transit.
Bottom line is I want to return it and get a full refund. Seller thinks it is my responsibility to file a claim and is aggravated to even offer me a partial refund. I think it is his responsibility to file a claim on his end as the seller, packer and shipper as he shipped with Global Shipment Program.
Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

OP1 year agoContacted Ebay and Ebay ended up refunding me in full. Won't purchase from that particular seller again due to their poor packing for international shipping.
