(Trying to Understand) Combined Orders AND Shipping
Summary: krampusthetool is seeking advice on how to combine orders and shipping costs for a buyer who requested combined shipping through an eBay message. They describe their attempts to navigate the eBay Seller Hub, explaining that while they can create a single invoice, the combined shipping costs aren't adjusting as expected. Despite using the shipping calculator, the recalculated cost doesn't apply to the invoice. Additionally, attempts to access shipping labels resulted in an error message. They are looking for guidance as this process is new to them.
The AND in the title of this post is intentional. I have sold two auctions to the same buyer. The buyer asked for combined shipping via an eBay message. I have never done this before, but have been researching. The buyer's two orders are located in the "Manage orders awaiting payment" area of the Seller Hub. I have gone through the "Combine purchases" screens that are available through the "Manage orders awaiting payment" screen. When I select the "Send Invoice" button, the "Create Invoice" screen that follows literally combines the shipping costs together into a single invoice. The shipping cost of each item is the same and the combined shipping cost is double the amount of a single item. The "Create invoice" screen does have a "Shipping Calculator" button that opens a separate page where shipping can be calculated using source and destination zip codes. I was able to verify that the combined shipping cost SHOULD be much lower, but the result from this page does not get copied onto the "Create invoice" page. What I want to do is combine the orders as well as the shipping costs. I want to do this because I basically know that the weight of the combined orders will not cost any more (or maybe only a little more) than the shipping cost of a single item. I have also attempted to "Get shipping label" through the "Shipping" button on the "Manage orders awaiting payment" screen. When I try to do that, the "Get labels in bulk" screen that follows tells me "Sorry, we couldn't load this order. Error getting order from server." Like I said, I have never done this before so I'm clearly missing something.

Mentor1 week ago@krampusthetool You should be able to adjust the shipping cost on the invoice manually. I know I can with combined shipping invoices on a computer, I don't know if invoices are an option yet on the app.
Here's how to combine shipping as long as it's not a eBay International Shipping Program order. You can't combine shipping on EIS orders without a bit more work.
You can not combine ANY authenticity guaranteed items. They must all ship separately.
#1 If the buyer has not paid yet here's how to send a combined shipping invoice:
Go to your sold listings on a PC and select send invoice from next to one item. The next page will then have all of the items from your buyer. Weigh and measure the new package and then adjust the shipping price. You can look up the shipping price here: https://www.ebay.com/shp/Calculator
Send invoice: https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/sending-invoices-buyers?id=4139&st=
#2 If the buyer has already paid then you can send a partial refund for the shipping overcharge:
Go to the sold item and select Send Refund from the drop down menu next to the item.
Next screen select the reason for the refund> enter the amount> submit
#3 Also, when you print the shipping label it's VERY important to select all items and then select print label from the top of the list if the buyer did not pay from an invoice. Then on the next screen it will ask if you want to combine orders, say yes then adjust the package size and weight as needed. This way the tracking is applied to all items.
# 4 I suggest you allow invoices in your account settings so that in the future buyers can request an invoice from their cart:
