Trying to Speak to an Agent about an AI Misunderstanding Regarding Supposedly Offensive Language
I need to speak to an agent about a message I tried to send to a seller about the emulator ScummVM and a game he sold me. The Ebay AI mistakenly thought that the name of the emulator was an "offensive" word and blocked my message. The chat AI would not send me to an agent to explain the problem. What do I do?

The eBay filter(s) must have the word scum on the list of bad words. Try disguising the spelling, like Sc*mmVM or SccummVM, or use µ (Greek "mu") instead of "u" ScµmmVM. Or do something else, use your imagination.

OP11 months agoUnfortunately, that is a very poor solution. ScummVM is not exactly an emulator, but it is a very common way to play these old adventure games. In effect, I do not know how to tell the seller about the problem without using the name of the engine, ScummVM. I am also upset that there seems to no way to tell Ebay about the problem.
