trying to return an item
I am trying to return a LED clock I purchased on 08/28/2023, that is defective. I have messaged the seller twice about returning this item, but he tells me ebay's policy on returns requires a picture of the item. There is no physical damage to the item. I don't knowhow to take a picture and send it. I guess I am stuck with this, and the clock will run out for a return to the seller. I think Ebays policy for people with a limited technological ability such as myself leaves a lot to be desired. I grew up with a typewriter, not a computer.

Did you open a ‘return request’ from your Purchase History? [You must do that in addition to contacting the seller.]
If you are unable to provide a photo when asked to do so when opening an official return request … then you can just copy & paste a photo from the listing.
[It obviously is helpful to sellers to receive photos of damaged items (assuming the damage can be shown in photos) … as that would allow them to file an insurance claim online. But sellers cannot insist a buyer do something that they are not capable of doing.]

Many of us grew up with a typewriter instead of a computer. Can you have someone help you attach a photo of the item to your Return Request?
If not, you can contact Ebay so they can help you.
Use the link below, and you can request a call back from Ebay by clicking "Have us call you":
