trying to change password but each time it is unsuccessful! Is Ebay being hacked - or me?

I'm in U.K. and the Ebay site isn't working - I was advised to change password as they suspected someone had tried to hack my account. Each time I go through all the palaver to change the password - it is never accepted and I start all over again. I can't contact them either as my Country doesn't come up in the drop down list - only the U.S. Oh beam me up scotty!
