Trouble responding to a message
I received a message from a prospective buyer for my item. I tap reply in my email, it takes me to the eBay site, and I can’t find the message or how to reply! Any ideas?

Mentor2 years agoKeep all communications through the eBay site on eBay messages. Do not send or respond to emails from potential buyers outside of eBay. This can be the start of a scam.

Mentor2 years agoI may be mistaken but I think the OP is having eBay messages forwarded by eBay to an email address, not receiving emails directly from another user.
In that case, replying to the email from eBay will cause eBay to generate an eBay message to the original sender. eBay does not share the email addresses of either party that way.
Being signed in to a different eBay account while trying to use the blue "reply" button in the forwarded email version of an eBay message can cause problem because the message does not appear in other accounts, and because of that the link won't work correctly.

Make sure you are signed in to your selling account before using that link.
Or, conversely, try responding directly to the email rather than using the blue reply button in the message.
