Transaction defect rate I was not given a chance to resolve it myself

Question

Customer said that a package had not arrived, this was 14 days late. So I tried to refund him, but EBAY would not let me as it said there was an open case. About 4 days later they said my funds were on hold as a decision was made. About 10 minutes later they refunded him. I never had a chance to resolve it by giving a refund.

The package is still lost in the mail somewhere.

I tried to refund but it would not let me as it said the case was open. Crazy if you ask me.

@beaufortent56 If a case was open, you needed to go to the case to issue the refund. Since eBay had to issue the refund, there is no way to appeal the defect.
