Tracking shows USPS has item but has been "out for delivery" for 2 weeks
Summary: rivadiva, a seller, is experiencing an issue with a USPS package that has been marked "out for delivery" since August 10. The item was sent to a UPS store mailbox, and despite filing lost mail claims with USPS and communicating with both the buyer and the UPS store, there has been no resolution. The seller is considering issuing a refund to the buyer, who has been patient, but is unsure how to proceed if the package eventually gets delivered. krazzykats referenced eBay's policy on returns and refunds, but the seller still seeks a practical solution to the predicament.
USPS status has been "out for delivery" since August 10. I'm the seller - was shipped to a UPS store mailbox. I've filed lost mail and claims with USPS with no response. I have been communicating with the buyer and she has been patient. I told her it seems the only way to move things along was for her to file a report it wasn't delivered. I am happy to issue a refund but what happens when it finally shows up in her mailbox? I have by the way spoken with the UPS store so they could watch for it. Not sure what to do since I used e-bays label, shipping, etc.
