Tracking says the package was delivered, but they want a refund...
So I sold an item... USPS says the package was delivered.
Six days later I get messages from the buyer saying that the package was never delivered... The buyer doesn't seem malicious, the buyer appears panicked...
"you as the sender please also find out what happened, because it is the first time in hundreds of purchases i'm Ebay that this has happened to me and i will not lose my money"
Thoughts?

Reply to the buyer with the tracking number that indicates the item has been delivered. They can take the tracking number to USPS so they can invesigate where the carrier left the package.
If they file a Refund Request, upload the tracking number into the dispute details.
In the email you received telling you the buyer’s issue, select See request details.
You’ll need to provide tracking within 3 business days of the request being opened, if you haven’t done so already.

Thanks! We’ll let the buyer know that you updated tracking details for this item. You can also take another action in the meantime. Thanks! We’ll let the buyer know that you updated tracking details for this item. You can also take another action in the meantime.
Followed your advice. It appears that I updated the system with the same tracking number. I'll keep this thread up to date!
