Tracking number on a package change after updated delivery date
I ordered a package that was supposed to arrive in 5 days. Got an email that it's arriving sooner in 2 days which isn't out of the ordinary. The thing is the seller is located in mesa, Arizona and the tracking number shows it shipped and is making it's way from mesa, AZ. However, if I pull up the old tracking number it's showing a package from Locust Grove, Georgia that hasn't even left yet. Maybe the old tracking number got re-issued to someone else's package and it's just an old number or is this a scam? I don't see why a sooner delivery would mean a different tracking number but I'm not a seller. Can someone help me out here?

OP3 years agoNo i have not asked the seller. If it's an actual scammer asking them why they're scamming me isn't going to get me anywhere. I do realize there's a chance this was a mistake or some general practice. However, i figured if this was a normal thing or a scam it would be common enough that folks on here could pinpoint it immediately as one or the other.
