What can I do about a seller that was supposed to have shipped an item 5 days ago but the tracking information shows nothing has ever been received at the shipper. Only a label has been generated, no package has been delivered to the shipper.

There isn’t anything you can do until the delivery is late, which sounds like it should be soon.
After the last expected delivery date, but no more than 30 days after the last expected delivery date, go to your purchase history - select 'I haven't received it' and follow the prompts.
The seller has 3 business days to provide tracking that shows delivery, or a refund. If he doesn't, go to your case and click 'ask us to step in'.
