top rated vs top rated plus
What are the benefits of being a top rated seller? I've recently achieved this level and am proud of the accomplishment - but does it mean anything toward helping my sales? What are the added benefits of being top rated plus over top rated? Is it worth it? Considering top rated plus but dread the 30 day return policy. Thank you!

Top Tated Plus requires 30-day free returns and 1 day handling on your listings. You get a 10% discount on your FVFs on those TRS PLUS listings when they sell. Every little bit helps.
I have been using those settings for years ... as far back to when they actually gave us 20% discount on the FVFs ... but then they took half of that away. Returns have NOT gone through the roof in case you are concerned with that.
Here is a link to your Seller protections: Seller protections | eBay

OP2 years agoTHANK YOU for your response.
So for free returns you pay the return shipping and reimburse any shipping the buyer paid to receive the item?
I use to take returns back in the day...never liked the 30 day return policy (way too long). I don't remember if I had shortened it or not, but I did charge a restocking fee. I don't see anyone doing that anymore on Ebay.

Mentor2 years ago@5109stacy A lot depends on the type of return and if the Buyer changed the condition of the item. If they do a false INAD return you can Report them and withhold $$ if it complies with the protections. If they damage the item or switch it out for something else on the return then you can withhold money. I have only used the full benefits a few times, one was a Buyer who opened an NIB item then shipped it back in a flimsy box ... damaged beyond use or resale, I reported them, withheld their original shipping and 50% of the item price to help cover my loss.
Free returns actually blocks less than Positive Feedback automatically or eBay removes any that was left before the return.
Hope that helps ...
