Too late to cancel?

I bought an item recently. The seller is still has not shipped. It said it won't ship for a few more days. After almost a week. I can no longer cancel the order on the website without the seller's permission. Even though the item hasn't shipped yet

Buyer's cannot cancel orders, only seller's can. That applies whether you formally ask to cancel using the cancellation request during the hour after purchase or send a message.

Cancellations cost sellers time and money and disrupt the marketplace for other buyers - they are never obligated to honor the request, so it's important to decide whether you want the item BEFORE making the purchase - not after.
