To keep eBay a safe place to buy and sell, we will occasionally ask you to verify yourself.
Anyone else notice that they say "occasionally"? Anyone else getting the "verify yourself" thing EVERY TIME YOU ARE ON, like me? Anyone else figure that that is NOT "occasional" but rather; ANNOYING? Now please; no professional debaters. I swear ebay hires you guys to feed their excuses to us. No way to contact ebay directly about this! They should give us a box to check saying "do not show me this again".

Mentor2 years agoeBay is not here; this is a user forum. The only folks that can respond to your post here are volunteer mentors.
Are you using a VPN or a hotspot? Or privacy software like Disconnect or Ghostery? Those can cause issues.
As can a browser with a corrupt or blocked cookie. Any difference if you try another browser?
You might also see that message if eBay has reason to believe your account has been accessed by a third party -- such as if there are simultaneous sign-ins from distant locations.
You can contact eBay directly by requesting a call back from the Help & Contact page, but it is unlikely that the customer service reps you reach will be able to provide much help unless the answer to your question is already in the prepared script they are reading from.
