Time of Money release
My funds are currently on hold (3 days after shipment arrived) it says April 4th the funds will be released. I need the funds before the weekend. Does anybody know what time the funds get released (Like 12 am or 3 pm or what)? And is there any tricks to getting that money to my bank as soon as possible

Mentor1 year agoi am sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Your item sold for more than $1,000 so there is a mandatory hold for 30 days on your funds. eBay had too many problems with high priced items so they instituted this special funds hold for all sellers not just new sellers. No matter what eBay shows you the funds will not actually be available until near the end of April.

OP1 year agoI talked to customer service and my eBay even says it will be available April 4th? Are you sure it’s always 30 days even thought it was delivered and he left a positive review?
it said 30 days before then switched to April 4th once my item was confirmed to be delivered.

I have seen posts where a seller claims to have had their funds released sooner than 30 days after selling a $1000+ item … BUT they weren’t a new seller.
Buyers have 30 days from delivery to file a return request … and eBay wants to be sure funds are available for the refund if that happens.
It’s not unusual for a buyer’s happiness with an item to change during the 30 days … even after they’ve left positive feedback.

Fund holds are normal for new and returning sellers.
New or infrequent sellers will experience transaction holds while learning best selling practices. This helps sellers become established and build a strong selling history on eBay. New sellers typically experience holds for up to 30 days, although sometimes it may be longer

OP1 year agoYes but do you have any idea what time of day funds are released. Is it exactly 3 days after the package was delivered (like 4pm) or 12AM or at night. I’m trying to figure out when most funds are released if it says April 4th

I’m sorry, but nobody can tell you the exact time your funds will be available to you. It may not even be on Friday.

Once released it can take a couple days for the transfer from eBay to your checking account.
