Three times this week… I have accepted a best offer from a buyer only to have them fail to pay.
Three times this week… I have accepted a best offer from a buyer only to have them fail to pay. This has never happened and now three times in a week. I have immediate payment required when using buy it now but that doesnt do anything for best offer accepted. Frustrating 😕

On this page near the bottom you can turn Auto-pay ON for offers and auctions: Buyer management | eBay
What that does is make Buyers provided a payment method BEFORE they send an offer or accept a counter offer. They will have one hour to change the payment method after the acceptance of the offer but will still pay. It is the next best thing to Immediate payment required on offers.
The same can happen on auctions it that is turned ON, Buyers would provide a payment method before they are allowed to bid.
The other option is to stop using the Offer process and have your list price be the lowest you will accept and cover fees and your profit.
