Threats by messaging
Is there a rule pertaining to threatening messages from other users? As in, if you have a bad experience with a seller and or their product so you leave an honest negative fb and they retaliate by sending you threatening messages like "big mistake, watch your back" or "you'll get yours" or something of that nature. I know it's very bad seller etiquette but is it actually considered a violation of some kind? I know we've all seen those sellers that go completely crazy if they get a rating less than positive or even a return, they take it as a personal attack and come unglued. I finally experienced quite a bad one.

Yes, it is against policy to send harassing messages.
Please do both of these steps
1) Please report the message using the 3 dots ⋯ in the messaging app
2) Report the seller here: https://www.ebay.com/help/action?topicid=4022
-- Click "Report a seller"
Choose " The seller has violated one of eBay's policies"
Choose "Seller sent threatening or abusive messages"
Briefly explain the threat in the message using simple terms.
