Threatened by a buyer
I sold a Dell 5490 Laptop Item# 257298930050 on Jan 8th. The title was as follows:
Dell Precision 5490 QHD+ Ultra 7 165H 32GB 1TB Intel Arc Pro
Item Description was as follows:
DELL PRECISION 5490
INTEL ULTRA 7 3.8GHz
32GB RAM
1TB SSD
Windows 11 Ent
This unit is fully functional with no signs of wear. Comes complete with power supply.
The item was delivered on Jan 16th. The buyer messages me on Feb 6th with the following:
Hi, I received your machine. But why did you describe an RTX 3500 graphics card in your listing, but the one I received doesn't have it? The server doesn't match the description.
The only place that RTX 3500 was even presented was in the MPN as follows:
14 15 inch Mobile Workstation, 5690 7680 i9 5570 9530 9440 64GB, RTX 3500 2024 2025
Now the buyer is threating to report me to Ebay as Fraud if I don't provide a refund. I asked the buyer to return the item and I would issue a full refund but per the buyer, "Returning it would be difficult because it has already been shipped to Vietnam, and it would take over 30 days to ship it back to the US. The cost would also be very high, so this option is not feasible. The most convenient solution is for you to refund me a portion of the money, as if I were buying a machine without GV."
I am debating on reporting this buyer to Ebay, but I would like the communities advice.

Mentor6 months agoI would do nothing unless the buyer files a return request.
Since they threatened to report you if you do not give them a partial refund, you can report the message to Ebay by clicking on the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner of the message window.
