This is confusing
This appears to be added by eBay
But the listing says
2. Once the machine was be delivery, you need to clear the custom and charge custom fee.
I will check to see what I can find tomorrow

I am sorry it's taken so long to get back to you on this.
The statement is added by eBay, and my contacts say that means you are prepaying the tariffs and shouldn't have to pay more upon delivery.

OP11 months agoSo do I ignore the FedEx bill for customs tax?

Did you order it and get a bill from Fedex?
If Fedex is billing you, I think you need to tell Fedex the customs was prepaid. But I can't promise it will work.
If you don't pay a customs bill presented and the item is returned to the sender, you will probably not get a refund.
It's a tricky situation.
Please let me know what happens here.

OP11 months agoYes, FedEx sent me a bill 2 weeks after I received it. I'll try to contact FedEx and say they were prepaid. I'll let you know what they say. This is a big thing EBay needs to address. Tariffs, if going to be charged need to be disclosed, exact amount, in advance, and collected by EBay along with purchase price and sales tax. EBay needs to clear the tariff with the funds so the buyer is isolated.
I bought another very expensive welder from China. In our documented text, they said my max customs charge would be $420, and they would take care of the rest...waiting for the shoe to drop on that one when they deliver it. I don't want to use EBays guarantee to return for full refund. Want the product...

Most likely, yes, you will owe customs/tariffs
✓ If you give me the eBay Item Number for the listing, I can look at it and provide some advice.
