Thinking someone is trying to scam me
Buyer sends a message stating “
Good morning,
I am SUPER interested in purchasing this lot! Is there a way to get it shipped faster?
Reason for that is due to i am leaving town in 4 days. Please kindly give me a response as soon as convenient for you! Thank you!

they sent me an address so I could see how fast I could get it shipped, and they said they selected the only shipping option that was available to them at check out (which I understand it is what I had it set to) but to pay for extra shipping and send a receipt and they would send the extra money. Address they sent was the same as the one suggested from eBay to make a shipping label for. It’s weird cause their account was created today as well. Am I being scammed?

As mentioned after 4days cancel the sale due to nonpayment.

Mentor2 years agoScammers often pose as new buyers with reasonable-sounding requests that you change your established procedures to give you less time to think things through rationally, but there are new buyers that sometimes ask for things like that, too.
A couple of warning signs, aside from the ones you have noticed: the message itself appears to entirely generic; meaning the exact same message could be used over and over again for any listing. Scammers often refer to "your item" or "this lot" because they do not want to take the time to customize each message, since they may well be sending hundreds of them. Some scammers will put together a script that actually copies the entire item title to get around this, though this may sound a bit more like a form letter (which is exactly what it is), rather than the informal note it pretends to be.
Another warning sign: "kindly". Scammers often rely on a template copied from other successful scams, and "kindly" is a word that many scammers use repeatedly, and one that ordinary native-English speakers rarely use.
If you accept that offer, I suspect that it will lead to the user offering to send payment outside of eBay to account for the extra shipping cost, and what the user actually intends to send you is a fake payment notice rather than any actual money.

Mentor2 years ago@circuit_savers Maybe they REALLY need those cellphone parts to repair other cellphones for customers? Just a guess.
If they have not paid yet then you can send an invoice for overnight shipping. That is the ONLY way to guarantee if will get there fast.
