Thinking of closing my account because too many fraudulent sellers on here
I recently ordered a Pokemon plush toy that was supposedly located in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. The seller had 100% good feedback which somehow changed to 93% after I had bought the item. People who had left previous feedback said that the seller doesn't reply to messages. So I kept that in mind. I checked the tracking number and it was to some Chinese postal service and they claimed that there was a delivery attempt, there wasn't. I called eBay a few times to get my money back and they keep giving me the runaround and haven't given me my money back yet. This isn't the first time this happened to me and I've been on this platform since 2011 and I've seen a recent uptick an with fraudulent sellers on eBay does nothing about it so I guess I have to leave. I don't want to but I don't want to constantly be getting ripped off either. There's no buyer protection so unfortunately, I think I have to leave.

Mentor8 months agoGo to your Purchase History and locate the purchased item. What is the last estimated delivery date? You have up to 30 days past that date in order to file an Item Not Received case, to get your money back. Once you file, the seller has 3 days to provide a tracking number that shows Delivered or issue a full refund. If the seller does neither, on day 4 you return to the case and click Ask ebay to step in, to force a refund.
If it is past the 30 day limit, you will need to log into Paypal and file an Item Not Received case there, if that is how you paid, as they allow up to 180 days from date of purchase to file, to get your money back.
If you paid with a credit card, file a charge back with your credit card issuer.

OP8 months agoAccording to what is listed under my purchases, it said January 7th. That was when they supposedly made a delivery attempt which they did not because I was home all day and was checking the mail constantly. I did ask eBay to step in but they keep giving me the runaround. As I said in my original post, this isn't the first time this has happened. I seem to be encountering a lot of fraudulent sellers on here lately so I think after or if I get my refund that I'm just going to leave because it's like I can't trust anybody on here.
