The worst Problem I ever had with eBay and PAYPAL and eBay seller
I had a terrible experience couple of weeks ago. I made a purchase for almost $600, when I received the first package of two it was ripped wide open when the FedEx driver handed me the box apart fell out, he told me if there’s any missing parts to contact FedEx and the shipper/Seller. I contacted. The seller told him the parts that were missing. I sent him pictures of the box. I sent him pictures of the items that I received, and I never heard from them again. I contacted PAYPAL and opened up a dispute. PAYPAL told me that they talk to the seller and told me to ship the item back, I told PAYPAL to have them send me shipping labels because right on the link it says free shipping and returns now this is a motorcycle engine, so the weight is fairly heavy. I was no way gonna send everything back on my dime. I have not heard from PAYPAL and I have not heard from the seller for three weeks I contacted eBay eBay took down my feedback that I left to the seller and of course it was negative feedback. There were several other negative feedbacks exactly like mine but they took mine off. Now eBay has blocked my phone calls. They won’t return my phone calls and I can’t even talk to an agent so what kind of guarantee is PAYPAL really giving me? What kind of guarantee is eBay giving me absolutely nothing. I have sold over 900 items with 100% positive feedback and I’ve been with eBay for 26 years and this is the first major problem I really ever had. Now the other problem is the seller is a China-based company. They’ve been with eBay for seven or eight years but they have sold over 15,000 items, now tell me if you think the way I do, especially in today’s world. eBay and PAYPAL both see the dollar value that this China base company gives them on a daily basis. I have 26 years of loyalty with eBay and PAYPAL never been laid on a payment and I have 100% positive feedback. So this right here goes to show you there is no loyalty left in this world let alone, PAYPAL and eBay. So what do you do in a situation like this? I’m a 68-year-old man Who lives strictly on Social Security, i buys things on eBay for my hobby and I do things for customers so they don’t have to spend a lot more money taking their item to a dealership Just to make a few extra dollars. NOW am I the bad guy?

Mentor11 months agoEbay cannot help you since you filed a dispute through Paypal.
Even though the seller indicated "Free returns", that pertained to Ebay only, not Paypal. Paypal return requests indicate the buyer has to pay for the return shipping.
According to Paypal: "To return an item bought with PayPal, you must first contact the seller to agree on the return terms. If they are unresponsive or refuse, you can open a dispute in the PayPal Resolution Center to request a refund under the Purchase Protection program. You will be responsible for the return shipping costs, and you must provide PayPal with the tracking information once the item is shipped "
